A Special Exercise for Hungarian Students
Practice Hungarian with a beautiful song lyrics of Szerelem, written by a Hungarian poet Juhász Gyula, sung by a wonderful talent Tompos Kátya .
As we have learnt recently there are many talented Hungarian actors and actresses whose voice are even more famous.
A very good example for this is Tompos Kátya (Kátya Tompos). She is a celebrated actress participated in such famous plays as My Fair Lady or in films like Valami Amerika 2, Coming Out etc.
However for me the most precious step of her is beginning her singer career with the album entitled Keresztül Európán (Across Europe)
She has adopted many Hungarian, Russain and Ukranian folksongs and poems also, and sometimes mixed them with well-known musical pieces like Little Wings from Jimi Hendrix or the sentimental With or Without You of U2.
Sounds delighting, doesn’t it?
Observing such a romantical day today I have to show you one of the easiest but still a beautiful piece of Hungarian poetry via Kátya’s performance.
Let’s listen to it and practice some Hungarian!
